Alex runs the business side — quotes, scheduling and paperwork. He manages DNO applications and coordinates the MCS certification process through our certified installation partner. University educated with a head for detail, he's the reason your quote arrives when we said it would.
Where we came from
Cube Solar grew out of Cube Electrical — 20 years of NICEIC-registered electrical work across Bath and Somerset. Rewires, consumer units, EICRs, EV chargers. Solar was the natural next step: it's electrical work at its core, and we'd seen too many solar installs done badly by companies that had never wired a house.
That background matters more than most people realise. A solar installation is only as good as the electrical work behind it — the DC isolation, the consumer unit integration, the earthing arrangements. Ours is done by an electrician, because it is electrical work.
Two people. No call centre.
When you enquire, Alex answers. When we survey, Matt climbs the ladder. When we install, it's the same team that quoted you — not subcontractors working from a design done 200 miles away. Every system is designed around your actual roof and your actual usage, surveyed in person before we'll put a number on it.

A note on MCS: while our own direct MCS accreditation completes, every Cube Solar installation is certified through an accredited MCS umbrella scheme — you receive a full, valid MCS certificate either way, which is what makes you eligible for Smart Export Guarantee payments.
