44 LONGi mono black panels set into a brand-new roof rather than bolted on top of it, with a 12kW three-phase hybrid inverter and 17.4kWh of battery storage. Designed and installed by our own team in Bath.
In-roof, because the roof was coming off anyway. On a full re-roof, in-roof is the obvious choice. The GSE trays replace the tiles they cover, so you aren't paying for roof covering under the panels, and the finished array sits flush with the new roofline instead of on rails above it.
Both slopes used. The 44 panels are split 17 and 27 across two slopes, which spreads generation across more of the day than a single-slope array.
Three-phase hybrid inverter. The property has a three-phase supply, so the system runs on SolaX's 12kW three-phase hybrid, which manages the panels and the battery from one unit.
17.4kWh of storage. A battery this size holds a large share of the daytime generation for use in the evening, and can also charge on a cheap overnight tariff.
